Business Description
SP Ausnet. The Group's principal activity is providing financing to other entities for the acquisition of transmission and distribution businesses. Its operations are organised into three business segments, namely electricity distribution, electricity transmission and gas distribution. Electricity distribution includes the network carrying electricity from the high voltage transmission network to end users, providing metering services to water retailers and metering and vegetaion management services. Electricity transmission includes transmission lines and towers which carry electricity at high voltages from power stations to electricity distributors. Gas distribution includes the network carrying natural gas to commercial and residential end users. Operations are carried out in Australia.
