Business Description
Agrana Beteiligungs AG(AGRANA). The Group's principle activity is manufacturing of sugar, starch and fruit business. The group operates through three segment; Sugar, Starch and Fruit business. In the Sugar segment, it manages the Austrian sugar activities and serves as the parent company for the subsidiaries in Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Romania. The Starch segment comprises four starch factories in Austria, Hungary and Romania and produces starch and special starch products for the food and beverage, paper and paper converting, textile, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. The Fruit segment focuses on making fruit preparations and manufacturing fruit juice concentrates, which are supplied to the dairy, baked products, ice-cream and soft drinks industries. The Group's geographical segment is Austria, rest of Europe and Other foreign countries.
