Business Description
Petro-Canada. The Group's principal activities are to explore, develop and market crude oil and natural gas. The Group operates in 2 segments: Upstream and Downstream. The Upstream segment include the exploration, development, production, transportation and marketing of crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids and oil sands. It operates through four segments which include North American Natural Gas, East Coast Oil, Oil Sands and International. It explores, develops, produces and markets crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, sulphur and oil sands. Upstream sector operates in the Western Canada, the United States Rockies, Offshore Nova Scotia and Alaska, Offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Trinidad, Venezuela, Syria, Libya, Algeria and Tunisia. Downstream sector includes the purchase and sale of crude oil, refining of crude oil products and the distribution and marketing petroleum products and related goods.
