Business Description
Neovasc Incorporation Formerly known as Medical Ventures Corp.. The Group's principal activities is to acquire, develop and commercialize medical technologies. The products of the Group include the Neovasc Reducer for refractory angina and PeriPatch surgical tissue. The Neovasc Reducer provides treatment for patients with refractory angina. Refractory angina patients have severe, debilitating chest pain due to insufficient blood supply to the heart muscle that is not amenable to revascularization. PeriPatch is a flexible collagen-tissue patch cut from a uniform area of chemically treated bovine or equine pericardium. It is used for cardiac reconstruction and repair, soft tissue repair and general surgical procedures. On 01-Jul-2008, the Group acquired Neovasc Medical and B-Balloon.
