Business Description
K-Bro Linen Income Fund. The Group's principal activities are to own and operate facilities that provide laundry and linen services to Canadian healthcare, hospitality and other commercial customers. The services include the processing, management and distribution of linens, including sheets, blankets, towels, tablecloths, gowns and other linen. It owns and operates laundry and linen processing facilities in four of Canadian cities, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto. The customers include hospitals, health authorities, long-term care facilities and hotels in Canada. Healthcare customers include Calgary Health Region, The Hospital For Sick Children in Toronto, Vancouver Coastal Health and Capital Health. The Hospitality customers include Fairmont Hotel Macdonald in Edmonton, The Hyatt Regency in Calgary and The Sheraton Centre in Toronto. On January 31, 2008, the Group completed the acquisition of the laundry business, linen, property and equipment of Buanderie HMR Inc.
