Business Description
Stratos Global Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to provide mobile and fixed telecommunication services to clients operating in remote locations. The Group also provides a number of wireless, Internet Protocol, data and voice solutions. The Group is a vertically integrated satellite service provider that owns and operates its own telecommunications facilities, shares facilities with other telecommunications carriers, and distributes the services of other network operators outside North America. The Group operates in two business segments: Mobile Satellite Services and Broadband Services. The Mobile Satellite Services segment includes the sale of airtime and equipment for Stratos' Inmarsat, MSAT, Iridium, aeronautical and other mobile satellite operations. The Broadband services segment includes the sale of airtime and equipment for Stratos' microwave & VSAT operations.
