Business Description
Detroit Chile SA. The Group's principal activities are divided into the following: motor, shipbuilding, port services, maritime services and tourism. The motor division is involved in rendering maintenance and supply services for motor parts and pieces for big vehicle fleets operating in mining deposits in the country. The shipbuilding division operates 272 ships including commercial fishing boats, oceanographic fishing boats, conventional ships as well as tugboats, supply vessels, special ships and patrol boats. The port services include the operations of shipping ports. Maritime services are in charge for the cargo and passenger transport services of the Group. The tourism division operates Catamaranes del Sur, Loberias el Sur Hotel and Aiken del Sur Natural Park which provide a variety of services including fine cuisine and beautiful landscapes to clients vacationing in Patagonia.
