Xiangtan Electric Manufacturing Co.. The Group's principal activities are the manufacture and sale of alternating current (AC) motor and direct current (DC) motors. Other activities include the production of automobiles, equipment and parts, industrial and mining locomotives, dump trucks and other transportation equipment and parts, sale of track gauges, generator, transformer, metal and chemical industry materials, mining products and electric equipment and lease of mechanical and electrical equipment. Main products consist of large and medium sized AC and DC motors, electric traction, urban transport vehicle, mine exploiting and transportation complete equipments, wind-mill generator and important equipments of national defence. The Group can produce metropolitan light rail vehicle and electric equipment for underground trainsets. The AC and DC motors are used in such industries as electric power, metallurgy, chemical engineering, petroleum and others.
