Business Description
Konecranes Oyj. The Group's principal activities are to manufacture and supply of cranes. The Group operates through three segments namely: Service, Standard Lifting and Heavy Lifting. Services includes crane inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs and call-outs, modernisation and spare parts. Standard Lifting manufactures and supplies standard and modular cranes, chain and wire rope hoists and standard components. Heavy Lifting manufactures and supplies harbour, terminal and shipyard cranes, electric overhead travelling cranes and heavy-duty components. The Group operates in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Americas and Asia-Pacific. In 2008 it acquired Norwegian machine tool service (MTS) specialist in March.
