Vaisala Oyj. The Group's principal activity is to develop, manufacture and market products and services for environmental and industrial measurement. The Group operates in four segments: Vaisala Measurement Systems, Vaisala Instruments, Vaisala Solutions and Vaisala Services. Vaisala Measurement Systems develops, manufactures and markets systems and instruments for observing the weather in the upper atmosphere as well as wind profilers and lightning detection systems that make extensive use of remote sensing technology. Vaisala Solutions develops, manufactures and markets weather observation instruments, which are used to observe weather conditions on or near the Earth's surface. Vaisala Instruments develops, manufactures and markets instruments for the measurement of relative humidity, barometric pressure, carbon dioxide, wind, visibility and prevailing weather conditions. The Group operates in Europe, North America, Asia, Australia, Africa, South and Central America.
