Business Description
HamaTech AG. The Group's principal activity is to supply manufacturing equipment and processing technology for optical disc and semiconductor industries. The Group operates through two segments Optical Disc and Advanced Process Equipment. Optical discs consist of activities related to the development, production and sale of equipment for the manufacture and analysis of optical storage media. Optical disc segment manufactures equipment for the production of CD-Rs, DVDs, DVD-Rs and CD-Audio/ROM. Advanced Process Equipment segment develops, constructs and sells the production equipment for the manufacture of photomasks. Photomasks are used in the semiconductor industry for the transfer of circuit structures to a silicon wafer. The Group has operations in Europe, Asia, North America and other regions. The segment 'Manufacturing Services' was discontinued as on 30-Sep-2006.
