Business Description
National Bank of Greece, S.A.(NBG). The Group's principal activity is the provision of financial services including retail and commercial banking, asset management, intermediation activities, investment banking, venture capital, insurance products, securities brokerage and real estate management. The Group operates primarily in Greece, but also has operations in countries in Turkey and South Eastern Europe, where it operates in Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Albania, Cyprus and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. In addition, the Group is involved in various other businesses, including the hotel and property management, real estate and information technology consulting. It is supported by eight non-Greek banking subsidiaries: Finansbank A.S., United Bulgarian Bank AD-Sofia, Vojvodjanska, Banca Romaneasca S.A., Stopanska Banka A.D.-Skopje, the National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) Ltd., South African Bank of Athens Ltd. and Finansbank (Malta) Ltd.
