Business Description
Selonda SA. The Company's principal activities are the farming and trading of fish species, in particular sea-bass and sea-bream. The Company is involved in the marine fish fry production, the growing of fish in floating facilities and the trade of these fish both in Greece and abroad. Exports are mainly to Italy, Great Britain, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, France and Switzerland. The Company is part of the Selonda-Riopesca Group which consists of 16 companies in total. The Company is the main supplier of sea-bass and sea-bream to Marks & Spencer and to Sainsbury supermarkets. The Group has achieved the ISO 9002 quality standard. The Company has a strategic alliance with Seafarm Ionian by way of a 10% share swap. The Company operates three hatcheries, 13 on-growing farms, five commercial enterprises, two holding companies and one aqua culture management services firm.
