Business Description
Hf. Eimskipafelag Islands Formerly known as Avion Group Hf.. The Group's principal activity is to provide shipping, logistics, and supply chain management services with a focus on temperature-controlled cargo. It operated in three segments: Logistics, Shipping and Aviation. Logistics include trucking, warehousing and coldstore operations. Shipping includes all transportation in vessels operated by the group. Aviation included aviation services including charter and leisure. During 2007, the Group sold its Aviation operation. The Group operates in the region of North Atlantic, Europe, Baltic, Americas and Pacific and Asia. The Group acquired Atlas Cold Storage Inc., Containerships Ltd. Oy and Harbour Grace Inc. on 01-Nov-2006 and Daalimpex Beeher BV in January 2007, Versacold Income Trust in August 2007.
