Aekyung Petrochemical Corporation(AKP). The Group's principal activity is manufacturing phthalic anhydride (PA) and its derivatives. It provides five main products: PA, which is used as raw material for phthalate plasticizers, resins and dyestuff's intermediates; maleic anhydride (MA), which is used for unsaturated polyester resins and detergents; itaconic acid (ITA), which is used as a monomer to increase the solubility of denaturalized polyvinylacetate (PVA); plasticizer, which is used for leather, seats, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) films and electrical wires, and polyol, which is used in sandwich panels, adhesives, artificial wood and fridges.
