Kongsberg Gruppen AS. The Group's principal activities are the development and supply of civilian and military IT technology products. The Group operates through the following two divisions: Kongsberg Maritime and Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace. Kongsberg Maritime provides innovative and reliable solutions for shipping, offshore, sub sea, navy, coastal marine, yachting and fisheries, ship and fleet management, maritime training, port and harbour surveillance. Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace division provides command and weapons control systems, communication systems, anti-ship missiles and aerospace activities.The Group acquired two smaller companies in 2008: the American simulator company GlobalSim Inc. and the British sonar company GeoAcoustics Ltd The Group has operations in Europe, the USA, the Middle East and the Far East.
