Business Description
Storebrand ASA. The Company's principal activity is to provide saving and life insurance products together with related financial advisory services, investment management and banking activities. Other activities include asset and fund management, real estate management and related services. The Group operates in four segments: Life Insurance, Banking Activities, Asset Management and Other activities. Life Insurance consists of products with profit sharing and product without profit sharing. Banking includes the coprporate, retail, markets and real estate broking areas. Asset Management manages assets in mutual securities funds and client portofolios for insurance companies, pension funds, municipalities, institutional investors and retail customers. Other comprises the holding company Storebrand ASA and Storebrand Skadeforsikring. The Company operates through its branch offices and subsidiaries in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. In 2008 the Group acquired Hadrian Utvikling.
