Business Description
WILH. Wilhelmsen Limited ASA. The Group's principal activity is to provide logistics solutions and maritime services. The Group operates in four segments: Shipping, Logistics, Maritime services and Holding. The shipping segment is engaged in ocean transport of cars, roll-on roll-off cargo and project cargo. The Logistics segment supplies logistics services to customers globally. The Maritime services segment offers ship management, crewing, ship equipment, port agency and related services through a worldwide network. The Holding segment includes shipping activities which fail to meet the definition for other core activities. It also includes corporate WW activities and expenses as well as the effect of eliminating inter company transactions between segments. As of 31-Dec-2008, the fleets consist of 160 vessels operating in 38 trades. The Group operates globally with 450 offices in 75 countries.In 2008, the Group acquired the maritime services provider Callenberg group.
