Business Description
Shakarganj Mills Limited. The Group's principal activities are to manufacture, purchase and sell sugar, textile, ethanol, building material and yarn. It operates in five segments: Sugar, Ethanol, Textile, Engineering and Others. The Sugar segment products include crystalline, beverage grade sugars and specialty products like brown, caster and icing sugars as well as retail packages. The Ethanol segment produces molasses which is a co-product of sugar manufacturing. Textile segment sells yarn to knitting and weaving mills to produce fabric. Engineering segment manufactures and fabricates components and machinery. Other segment consists of building materials and power division.
