Business Description
Bioton SA. The Group's principal activity is manufacture of clinically important modern drugs, including recombined human insulin and its pharmaceutical forms, preparations from the cephalosporine, aminoglycoside and macrolide groups. The Group operates in four segments: Insulin and Derivatives, Antibiotics, Growth Hormone and Other. The Group closely co-operates with the Institute of Biotechnology and Antibiotics, which conducts the research of drugs using chemical synthesis and biosynthesis based on genetic engineering methods, and develops technologies of drug manufacturing. In 2008, the Group acquired MJ BIOTON Life Sciences Ltd (Cyprus) and Trice SA (Luxembourg). The Group operates in Poland, Cyprus and Singapore.
