Business Description
Slovnaft a.s.(SLOVNAFT). The Group's principal activities are the refining of crude oil and distribution and sale of products obtained from the refining process. The Group operates in four basic segments: Refining and Marketing, Petrochemicals, Retail and Corporate and Other. The Group's main products are engine fuels (petrol, airplane kerosene and diesel oil), car engine oils (under the brand name of Madit), industrial oils (bearing, turbine, compressor, hydraulic, shaping, gear and other oils), lubricants, vaseline, heating oils, asphalt, polyethylene (Bralen), polypropylenes (Tatren) and other petrochemical products. The Group operated 209 own filling stations as of 31 December 2008. The Group exports its products mainly to the Slovak Republic, Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Hungary,Germany, Italy and Other.
