Business Description
Merkur Kranj. The Group's principal activity is the wholesale and retail of construction materials and wood (bricks and roofing materials, wooden products, cement and lime); technical goods (furniture fittings, locks, power, machine tools and accessories); consumer goods and chemical products (audio and video appliances, household, heating appliances); installation and electro-materials (lighting equipment, wires and cables); ferrous and non ferrous metal products (sheet metal and strips, pipes and tubes, non ferrous metal products). The Company's core programme includes approximately 200,000 items divided into 750 product lines. The Group acquired Merkur Celik, d.o.o., (Serbia), Big Bang Avto, d.o.o. (Slovenia) and Intermerkur Nova, d.o.o. (Bosnia and Herzegovina) in 2007. The Group operates mainly in the Balkan, has subsidiaries in Italy, Czech Republic and Germany.
