Handelsbanken Pension and Insurance provides life insurance products. Handelsbanken Finans provides finance company services in the Nordic countries. Stadshypotek Bank is involved in bank and insurance services. Handelsbanken Treasury manages the Group's Swedish kronor liquidity and funding in the capital markets. In 2008, the Group opened 44 new branches and acquired Lokalbanken i Nordsjaelland A/S in Denmark.
