Business Description
Turk Hava Yollari A.O.. The Group's principal activity is providing domestic and international air transport and cargo services. The Group operates in two main segments: Aviation and Technical. During the fiscal year ended December 31, 2008, it had a fleet of 127 aircraft. The Group has established routes covering Europe, Africa, North America, the Far East and the Middle East, as well as domestic routes. It provides passenger, cargo, technical and training services, along with online services, which consist of electronic ticketing, online check-in, schedule, cargo reservation and tariffs, baggage tracking and departure-arrival data services. Technical services include general maintenance, such as cleaning, painting, and engineering, overhaul and periodic maintenance services. The Group also operates a flight academy, and offers the Miles&Smiles promotional program, awarding free tickets and seating upgrades. Its affiliates include THY Teknik A.S. and TGS Yer Hizmetleri A.S.
