Business Description
Octopus Second AIM VCT PLC Formerly known as Close Second AIM VCT PLC. The Company's principal activity is that of a Venture Capital Trust. The Company is no longer an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Company revoked its status on 25-Nov-2005 in order for the Company to pay dividends from realised capital profits. The Company has been approved by the HM Revenue and Customs as a Venture Capital Trust in accordance with the Part 6 of the Income Tax Act 2007 for the year ended 29-Feb-2008.Investment management services are provided by Close Investments Ltd for a fee of 2% (plus Value Added Tax) per annum of net asset value, calculated quarterly on the last business day of each quarter payable in arrears. The agreement is terminable by the manager given six months notice of termination of the contract after the initial fixed term period.
