Business Description
Investec High Income Trust PLC. The Group's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The objective of the Group is to achieve both a high and growing level of income with the potential for capital growth from a portfolio principally invested directly or indirectly in equities. The Group is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Group has been approved by the HM Revenue & Customs for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 31-Mar-2007.Investment management services are provided by Investec Investment Management Ltd for a fee calculated at the rate of 0.75% (plus VAT) per annum of the value of the total assets of the Group, payable quarterly in arrears based on month-end asset values. The agreement is terminable by either party on twelve months' notice.
