Business Description
F&C U.S. Smaller Companies plc. The Company's principal activities is that of an Investment Trust. The objective of the Company is to achieve long-term capital growth by investing in a diversified portfolio of quoted US smaller and medium sized companies. The Company is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Company has been approved by the Inland Revenue as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 30-Jun-2006.Investment management services are provided by F&C Management Ltd for a fee calculated at 0.20% of the funds under management payable quarterly in arrears. The agreement may be terminated by either party upon six months' notice.
