Business Description
Charter International PLC Formerly known as Charter PLC. The Group's principal activities are carried out through its Welding, Cutting and Automation, and Air and Gas Handling divisions. Welding, Cutting and Automation comprises cored wire welding, aluminium welding, friction stir welding, inverter-based welding equipment and advanced cutting systems which are marketed to a range of industries including shipbuilding, transport and off-road, offshore, power, process and construction. Air and Gas Handling comprises fan, heat exchanger, compressor, gas cleaning equipment, electronic controls and instrumentation and pumps which are marketed to a range of industries including power generation, steel, cement, mining, construction, petrochemical, process and transportation. On 22-Aug-2008, the Group acquired Aeolus Industria e Comercio Ltda.
