Business Description
Christian Salvesen PLC. The Group's principal activity is managing outsourced logistics for manufacturing and retail customers in the industrial, consumer and food sectors, working in partnership with them to transform their supply chains and optimise inventories. The Group operates through 200 sites, 400,000 square meter of warehousing space, and over 1,000 tractor units and 3,000 trailers. The Group's Food and Consumer business provides outsourced supply chain operations including temperature controlled storage and distribution for such sectors as clothing and textiles, electrical and home furnishings, reverse logistics, sporting goods, white and brown goods, jewellery and toys. The Group's Transport operation provides transporting and warehousing for a range of industrial sectors such as agricultural, automotive, packed chemicals, packaging, packed lubricants, paper and inks, engineering, utilities, DIY, building materials, media, tyres and consumer manufacture.
