Business Description
Throgmorton Trust PLC (The). The Group's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The objective of the Group is to provide shareholders with capital growth and an attractive total return from investment predominantly in listed United Kingdom smaller companies which are listed on the Official List and admitted to trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange. The Group is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 833 of the Companies Act 2006. The Group has been approved by the HM Revenue and Customs as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 30-Nov-2007.Investment management services are provided by BlackRock Investment Management (UK) Ltd for a fee calculated at the rate of 0.7% per annum of the Company's gross asset value, payable quarterly in arrears. The agreement is terminable after an initial period of 18 months on six months' notice.
