Business Description
Gateway VCT PLC. The Company's principal activity is that of a Venture Capital Trust. The objective of the Company is to provide shareholders with an attractive income and capital return by investing its funds in a broad spread of listed and unlisted the United Kingdom companies which meet the relevant criteria for venture capital trusts. The Company is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Company has been approved by the HM Revenue and Customs as a Venture Capital Trust for the purposes of Section 274 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 2007 for the year ended 31-Mar-2007.Investment management services are provided by Gateway Advisory and Management LLP for a fee calculated at the rate of 2.5% per annum (plus Value Added Tax if applicable) of Net Assets Value, subject to reduction to meet the annual total cost cap of 3.5% of Net Assets Value. The agreement is terminable by either party on six months' notice.
