Business Description
Schroder UK Mid & Small Cap Fund Plc. The Company's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The objective of the Company is to invest in mid and small cap equities with the aim of providing a total return in excess of the FTSE All-Share, ex-investment companies, ex-FTSE 100, Total Return Index. The Company is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Company has been approved by the Inland Revenue as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 30-Sep-2006. Investment management services are provided by Schroder Investment Management Ltd for a fee calculated at the rate of 0.8% on assets up to and including 75 million, and 0.6% thereafter, payable quarterly in arrears. The agreement is terminable by either party on 12 months' notice or on immediate notice in the event of certain breaches or the insolvency of either party.
