Business Description
F&C Private Equity Trust PLC. The Company's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The objectives of the Company for (A) shares is to manage the existing assets and to realise the value of those assets in a tax efficient manner and return capital to shareholders and for (B) shares is to achieve long-term capital growth through investment in private equity asstes. The Company is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Company has been approved by the Inland Revenue as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 31-Dec-2006.Investment management services are provided by F&C Investment Business Ltd for a fee calculated at 0.7% of the relevant assets of the A Pool, 0.9% per annum of the relevant assets of B Pool. The agreement is terminable by either party by giving not less than six months' notice.
