Business Description
International Biotechnology Trust PLC(IBT). The Group's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The Group invests in companies that are undervalued, with experienced management and strong potential upside through the development and/or commercialisation of a product, device or enabling technology. The objective of the Group is to achieve long term capital growth by investing in high growth, development stage biotechnology companies that are either quoted or unquoted. The Group is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Group has been approved by the HM Revenue and Customs as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 31-Aug-2007.Investment management services are provided by SV Life Sciences Managers LLP for a fee calculated at the rate of 1.35% per annum of the Net Asset Value of the Group, payable monthly. The agreement is terminable by either party on 12 months' notice.
