Business Description
Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC Formerly known as Close Brothers Venture Capital Trust PLC. The Company's principal activity is that of a Venture Capital Trust. The objective of the Company is to minimise the risk to investors whilst maintaining an attractive yield. The Company is no longer an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Company revoked its Investment Company status on 15-May-2000 to enable the Company to pay dividends from realised capital profits. The Company has been approved by the HM Revenue and Customs as a Venture Capital Trust in accordance with Part 6 of the Income Taxes Act 2007 for the year ended 31-Mar-2008.Investment management services are provided by Close Ventures Ltd for a fee of 2% (plus any applicable Value Added Tax)of the net asset value of the Company. The agreement is terminable by either party on 12 months' notice.
