Business Description
City Merchants High Yield Trust Plc. The Company's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The objective of the Company is to obtain both high income and capital growth from high-yielding fixed-interest securities. The Company is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Company has been approved by the HM Revenue and Customs as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 31-Dec-2006. Investment management services are provided by Invesco Asset Management Ltd for a fee calculated at the rate of 0.1875% of the value of the Company's total assets less current liabilities, excluding short-term borrowings undertaken for investment purposes, under management at the end of the relevant quarter. The agreement is terminable at any time by either party giving no less than three months prior written notice.
