Business Description
Northern Venture Trust PLC. The Company's principal activity is that of a Venture Capital Trust. It makes long-term equity and loan investments, mainly in unquoted companies. It invests mainly in unquoted venture capital holdings. The objective of the Company is to provide high long-term returns to shareholders through a combination of dividend yield and capital growth. The Company has been approved by the HM Revenue and Customs as a Venture Capital Trust for the purposes of Section 842AA of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 30-Sept-2007.Investment management services are provided by NVM Private Equity Ltd for a fee calculated at the rate of 2% of gross assets less current liabilities, calculated at half-yearly intervals as at 31 March and 30 September payable quarterly in advance. The agreement is terminable by either party by not less than twelve months' notice.
