Business Description
Baring Emerging Europe Plc. The Company's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The objective of the Company is to achieve long-term capital growth, principally through investment in Emerging European securities or in securities of companies listed or traded elsewhere, whose revenues and/or profits are, or are expected to be, derived from activities in Emerging Europe. The Company is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 833 of the Companies Act 2006. The Company has been approved by the Inland Revenue as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 30-Sept-2007.Investment management services are provided by Baring Asset Management Ltd for a fee calculated at the rate of 0.8% of the net asset value of the Company calculated monthly and payable annually. The agreement is terminable by either party giving not less than six months' written notice.
