Business Description
Proven VCT PLC. The Company's principal activity is that of a Venture Capital Trust. The objective of the Company is to maximise tax-free capital and income returns to shareholders, over a five to ten year period, by investing in a portfolio consisting mainly of qualifying investments in established smaller The United Kingdom companies with good growth prospects. The Company revoked its status as an Investment Company in July 2004 upon the payment of a capital distribution. The Company has been approved by the HM Revenue and Customs as a Venture Capital Trust and continue to comply with Part 6 of the Income Tax Act 2007.Investment management services are provided by Beringea Ltd for a fee calculated at the rate of 2.0% of the Ordinary Share net assets and the 'C' Share net assets per annum (excluding VAT). The agreement is terminable by either party at any time thereafter by one year's prior written notice.
