Business Description
JPMorgan Fleming Japanese Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC. The Company's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The objective of the Company is to achieve long term capital growth through investment in small and medium sized Japanese companies. The Company is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Company has been approved by the HM Revenue and Customs as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 31-Mar-2007. Investment management services are provided by JF Asset Management Ltd at the rate of 1.25% per annum on the first 115 million of the Company's gross assets and 1% per annum on any amount exceeding 115 million of gross assets. The agreement is terminable by either party on six months' notice.
