Business Description
New Star Investment Trust PLC. The Group's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The objective of the Group is to achieve long-term capital growth. The Group is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Group has been approved by the HM Revenue and Customs as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 30-Jun-2006.Investment management services are provided by New Star Asset Management Ltd for a fee calculated at the rate of 3/16% per quarter of the total assets of the Group after deduction of the value of any Jupiter managed investments and any New Star managed investments payable quarterly in arrears. The agreement is terminable by either party by giving not less than three months' written notice to expire on the last day of any calendar month.
