Business Description
Pennine Aim VCT 5 PLC. The Company's principal activity is that of a Venture Capital Trust. The objectives of the Company are to invest at least 70% of its investments in qualifying companies by 30-Sep-2007; to obtain and maintain its VCT status; to target a tax-free cash return to shareholders of 30p per 1 invested, by 31-Jul-2008; and thereafter to pay regular dividends. The Company is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Company has been approved by the HM Revenue and Customs as a Venture Capital Trust for the purposes of Section 842AA of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988.Investment management services are provided by Rathbone Investment Management Ltd for a fee calculated at 1.8% of net assets per annum, together with 60% of any performance incentive fees payable.
