Business Description
I-Mate PLC. The Group's principal activity is developing and supplying wireless integrated pocket PCs and Smartphones, specialising in Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system. These devices are sold under the i-mate brand, supported by related contents and services. The Group designs and sells convergent voice and data devices which utilise the Microsoft Windows Mobile operating systems enhanced by related content and services. Club i-mate is the Group's e-commerce site, offering services and content to end users of any Pocket PC and Smartphone. The Group has twelve devices, operating across GSM, CDMA, UMTS and WiFi networks. These different models give users a choice of applications based on voice and data functionality, including the ability to have data access and/or data synchronisation (via the Internet). The Group also develops and supplies related software applications and services. During 2007, the Group acquired the entire share capital of A Living Picture PLC.
