Business Description
SR Europe Investment Trust Plc. The Group's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The Group primarily invests in an actively managed portfolio of quoted companies and debt instruments in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe, including emerging Europe, with the objective of generating capital growth without neglecting income. The Group is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Group has been approved by the Inland Revenue as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 31-Dec-2007. Investment management services are provided by Sloane Robinson LLP for a fee calculated at 0.8% per annum of total assets less current liabilities and current period revenue payable quarterly in arrears. The agreement is terminable by three months' written notice.
