Business Description
D1 Oils PLC. The Group's principal activities are refining and trading biodiesel fuel, and planting and producing vegetable oils suitable for biodiesel production. Bio diesel is a renewable fuel which can be an alternative to or an addition to petroleum diesel and which has benefits for the environment. The Group's operation focuses on the Jatropha Curcas, a tree that produces seeds with a high content of inedible oils. The oil is extracted by crushing the seeds and can be refined into high quality biodiesel. The Group operates in the United Kingdom, India, Philippines, Ghana, Malaysia, Madagascar, Zambia and South Africa.
