Business Description
Novae Group PLC. The Groups principal activity is providing insurance related services. The Group has two operating businesses, the Lloyd's business and the Novae Insurance Company Ltd (NICL). The Group manages two active syndicates at Lloyd's, Syndicate 1007 and Syndicate 1241 while NICL focuses on writing United Kingdom regional commercial lines business. The Group's main business segments relates to specialty, property and liability. Specialty includes financial institutions, professional indemnity, management, liability, political & credit risks, specie & cargo and special situations. Property consists of both direct and reinsurance business transacted in the United States and international. Liability comprises United Kingdom general and employers' liability risk supplemented by binder business and a marine liability account. On 05-Jan-2009, the Group acquired Mayheld Limited and its 15 corporate member subsidiaries.
