Business Description
Northgate PLC. The Group's principal activity is renting vehicles and selling a range of fleet products to businesses via a network of companies. It primarily serve business customers operating in a range of industries of which construction and distribution are the two largest. The Group's other major sectors include local authorities, public utilities and retailers. The Group also provides services relating to fleet administration, management information, and driver support and fuel management. It has 89 sites and 37 branches across the United Kingdom, Spain and the Republic of Ireland with a fleet of 131,350 vehicles comprising heavy goods vehicles, vans, truck and cars. During 2008, the Group acquired the entire share capital of GPS Body Repairs Ltd and Hampsons (Self Drive Hire) Ltd.
