Business Description
Lowland Investment Company plc. The Company's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The objective of the Company is to provides investors with a higher than average return with growth of both capital and income over the medium to long term through a broad spread of predominantly the United Kingdom companies. The Company is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Company has been approved by the HM Revenue and Customs as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 30-Sept-2007.Investment management services are provided by Henderson Global Investors Ltd for a fee calculated at the rate of 0.5% of the average of the aggregate net chargeable assets (excluding the value of any funds managed by Henderson) on the last day of the relevant quarter and the last day of the corresponding quarter in the preceding year. The agreement is terminable on twelve months' notice.
