Business Description
Henderson Private Equity Investment Trust Plc Formerly known as New Star Private Equity Investment Trust Plc. The Group's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The objective of the Group is to invest in unquoted companies with a view to realising substantial capital gains. The Group has been approved by HM Revenue and Customs as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 31-Dec-2006.Investment management services are provided by New Star Asset Management Ltd for a fee calculated and payable monthly in arrears at the rate of 1.25% per annum of the Company's asset (at valuation) invested in limited partnerships and direct equity private equity interests and 0.75% per annum on the remainder of the Company's assets. The agreement is terminable by either party on not less than one year's notice.
