Cabot Corporation. The Group's principal activities are to produce rubber blacks, performance products, inkjet colorants, fumed metal oxides, aerogels, tantalum and cesium formate drilling fluids. Metal Oxides Business produces fumed silica ultra-fine, high-purity particle used as a reinforcing, thickening, abrasive, thixotropic, suspending or anti-caking agent for the automotive, construction, microelectronics, and consumer products industries. Supermetals Business produces tantalum, niobium and its alloys. Specialty Fluids Business produces and markets cesium formate as a drilling and completion fluid used in oil and gas well operations. The Group operates in North America, South America, Europe, Asia Pacific and China. On 31-Aug-2007, the Group acquired assets of AP Materials Inc.
